Gear and Equipment List

The following, while neither all-inclusive, nor all necessary, offers a good guide to ensure maximum safety and comfort. Please contact the adult staff for gear essentials to make the trip.

Extended Overnight Camping Checklist 

   Food for duration of trip
X Snacks
X Eating Utensils (Spoon, Fork, and Knife)
X Metal Drinking Cup
X Water Bottle or Canteen (for carrying water on hike)
X Hiking Clothing
X Extra clothing layer(s)
X Coat or windbreaker
X Hiking boots/shoes that match the terrain
X Hiking socks
X Hat for sun protection
X Raingear
X Headlamp or flashlight (extra batteries/ bulbs)
X Back-up Flashlight
X Toilet paper/Alcohol Wipes (other personal toiletry items)
X Toothbrush and toothpaste
X Lip balm (with sun protection)
X Sunscreen
   Insect repellent
X Needed Medications/Vitamins in original bottle with permission slip for despensing medication.
   Backpack
   Tent (with rain fly and ground tarp)
X Sleeping Bag
X Writing untensil (Pencil)
X Survival Kit (plastic whistle, compass, unbreakable mirror, crayon, waterproof matches, at a minimum) (check basic guidebook)
